Brittany Stubbs is a dedicated and compassionate therapist working toward full licensure, providing support to individuals across a broad age range (4+). With a strong academic foundation and a passion for helping others, Brittany is committed to assisting individuals in navigating life’s challenges and discovering their path to healing.
She holds a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Fort Valley State University (2020), a Bachelor’s degree in Human/Public Service from Middle Georgia State University (2015), and an Associate of Communications from Middle Georgia College (2012). These academic achievements reflect her commitment to understanding human behavior and using that knowledge to foster healing and growth in those she serves.
Brittany’s therapeutic approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, with a particular focus on Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She believes that every person’s journey is unique and that the most effective therapy integrates a variety of techniques, depending on the individual’s specific needs and circumstances. Her goal is to help her clients understand their emotions, build coping strategies, and create lasting, positive change.
Brittany’s decision to become a therapist stems from her own personal experiences with therapy at a young age, particularly in navigating the emotional complexities of her parents’ divorce. This early exposure to therapy sparked a desire to help others going through similar struggles, ultimately guiding her toward a career in counseling. She understands the importance of emotional support during difficult times, and her experiences shaped her commitment to creating a safe, welcoming space for her clients to express themselves and heal.
A key element of Brittany’s practice is the belief that the relationship between therapist and client is foundational to successful therapy. She prides herself on her warm, outgoing personality, which helps build trust and rapport with clients. Brittany recognizes that a solid therapeutic relationship is vital in establishing a sense of safety and comfort, especially for those who may be hesitant to open up about their struggles. She strives to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to take an active role in their healing journey.
Brittany’s therapeutic experience is vast and diverse. She has worked with both children and adults, supporting individuals with a wide range of challenges, including Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, ADHD, depression, anxiety, sexual trauma, PTSD, relationship issues, Bipolar Disorder, and personality disorders. She is particularly passionate about helping children, guiding them through difficult transitions, and helping them develop emotional resilience. She also has extensive experience supporting individuals facing challenges related to mental health, relationships, and trauma.
Brittany’s passion for therapy is not just a career; it is her life’s purpose. She strongly believes in the power of human connection and the impact that therapy can have on an individual’s overall well-being. Her clients are her priority, and she is committed to walking alongside them on their path toward healing. She views her work as both a privilege and a calling, one that enables her to help others achieve a deeper sense of peace, understanding, and emotional balance.
Through her professional experience and her unwavering dedication to her clients, Brittany is making a meaningful difference in the lives of many. She is excited to continue her journey as a therapist and looks forward to helping individuals, families, and communities thrive through the power of therapeutic support.
Mindy Smith, LMSW, BLAST Certified
Hawkinsville Location | Telehealth
Mindy Smith is a warm and compassionate therapist who is passionate about guiding individuals on their mental health journeys. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Middle Georgia State University (2022) and a Master’s in Social Work from Valdosta State University (2023). Currently, Mindy is working toward her full licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Mindy’s therapeutic style is deeply rooted in her personal experiences. Having struggled with severe depression in her adolescence and young adulthood, she understands firsthand the profound impact mental health challenges can have on a person’s life. For years, she quietly battled these struggles, feeling isolated and unsure of how to seek help. It wasn’t until she found the right care and treatment that she began her own healing process. This personal journey is what inspired Mindy to become a therapist, so she could be the support for others that she once needed.
In addition to her personal experience with depression, Mindy also grapples with anxiety, which has further deepened her empathy for those dealing with mental health challenges. She has a unique ability to connect with clients because she truly understands the struggles and victories that come with navigating mental health issues.
Mindy works with individuals ages 12 and up and specializes in treating a wide range of issues, including mood disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, and ADHD. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches in her work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Art Therapy, Positive Psychotherapy, and Narrative Therapy. Mindy takes a creative, flexible approach to therapy, tailoring each session to meet the specific needs of her clients. She finds that blending traditional therapeutic interventions with creative techniques, such as art and other forms of self-expression, can make the healing process feel more approachable and less intimidating.
Outside of therapy, Mindy has a love for photography, interior design, thrifting/antiques, and traveling (especially to the mountains). These creative hobbies play a significant role in her work, as she enjoys infusing her sessions with elements that allow clients to express themselves in ways that feel meaningful to them. Whether it’s through art, crafting, writing, music, nature, or simply making the therapy space feel comfortable and inspiring, Mindy believes in the power of creativity to enhance the therapeutic experience especially for the younger clients she works with.
Mindy’s approach to therapy is rooted in building strong, open, and honest relationships with her clients. She recognizes that therapy can be a vulnerable process, and she works hard to create a space where her clients feel safe, accepted, and understood. Her outgoing, positive, and laid-back personality helps foster trust and rapport, allowing for a strong, long-lasting therapeutic relationship. She believes that when clients feel seen and heard, they can begin to truly open up and engage in the healing process.
Mindy’s ultimate goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of those she works with, helping them feel empowered to take control of their mental health. She is committed to making sure all who come into her space feel welcome, accepted, and valued for who they are. Mindy truly believes that everyone’s mental health journey is unique, and she is honored to be a part of each person’s path toward healing and growth as this is her life’s purpose to help others.
If you’re looking for a therapist who understands, listens without judgment, and will walk alongside you in your journey and lift you up, Mindy would love the chance to work with you and help you get started. No matter where you are in your healing process, she’s here to help guide you every step of the way.
Mindy is currently under clinical supervision provided by Neva Fox MFT001629.
